The Rondette - Clayton

I visited several restaurants in Clayton and along Route 12 before deciding to try this one, and I'm glad I did. Our server, Cullen, was exceptional. He managed to handle multiple phone calls that were coming in for other tables, including a reservation for a party of 20, yet still served us quickly and efficiently. One aspect I noticed was how the chef seemed to prioritize the orders coming from female servers, who appeared to be older and more assertive in getting their tables served first. This led to some delays in the timing of our orders. It seems that meals should ideally be prepared in the order they are received, but Cullen had to vocalize this concern multiple times. On to the food— it was fantastic! I highly recommend the creamy cauliflower soup; it was simply delicious. This place is perfect for a quick and affordable meal. The diner pays homage to vintage vibes with its charming decor and unique ceiling. The bathrooms were clean, and the staff was courteous. Overall, I would give this diner a solid 5 out of 5.

Very good food! Friendly attentive staff. We went for lunch will be coming back to try the breakfast.

Was grate we stopped on our anniversary for a little ice cream was delicious the nice lady that runs it is great we stopped in about 7pm just as she was getting ready to close as we were sitting there a family with 4 young children stopped in we had fun talking with them but then 4 or 5 more people came in and we felt so sorry for the nice lady serving ice cream but everybody said she was used to it great place great people great time...

I visit for her homemade French onion soup, but I find myself staying for the rest of her amazing menu! I consider it my annual pilgrimage, as I make a trip here every year when I'm in the Thousand Islands. The prices are fair for the generous portion sizes, and every dish is delicious!

During our visit to the Pennsylvania area, we were on our way to Alexandria Bay when this charming restaurant caught our attention. We enjoy discovering small, local eateries, and this one did not disappoint. They were very accommodating—when I requested a smaller burger, they made me a slider version instead. The service provided by Bud was excellent and friendly. The homemade food was very good! We’re glad we decided to stop here before heading home. Thank you for a delicious lunch!
