Bidra med feedbackI can't find any faults with this restaurant. The food was incredibly delicious and for the first time, we were able to indulge in an amazing tasting menu with wine at a reasonable price, all in a unique atmosphere. Honestly, I've never been able to enjoy such a meal at this price point before. Since cost is not an issue here, I highly recommend trying it out. I can't wait to come back for another visit!
Eleven of us went to Clayton bowls club, Thursday the 8th of May. What a magnificent night, the food and wine matching was amazing, the chef Clinton, Ali and staff went beyond their call of duty. I would recommend it to anyone that is passionate...about good food and wine, yes I know a bowls club, you'll be very surprised. There was not a complaint from any of us. Rose Powell
Been twice now. Both Saturday nights. First time place was half full but since the media reports it's chockers. Booked out till Feb. Basic fit-out (it is a bowls club after all). Plenty of space between tables. Staff are excellent. Down to earth and very...friendly. Food is the reason for coming. Degustation on Saturdays (Fridays as well from Nov 1). Five courses for $50. Ripper value. Small serves but spaced over a few hours it is enough. The thought, preparation, skill and attention to detail is unbelievable. How imaginative are the combinations. The quality of the produce shines through. Wine list is typical club fare. Desperately want to try mid week a la carte but have to wait for a cancellation now!
My two friends and I went to lunch at Clayton Bowls, and we were initially concerned because there weren't many people there. We were informed by Nick that the chef was sick and not everything on the menu was available. Despite this, the server went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, always smiling. Our lunch ended up being exceptional, comparable to a 5-star restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be returning. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
We booked our 5th Christmas party at the bowls club last night, months in advance. We were excited to try the Barefoot Dishes and BBQ in the outdoor area. Unfortunately, our tables were placed outside in the sweltering 38-degree heat because the inside was fully booked. We ordered nachos to snack on while playing bowls, but it was an additional cost. The main meals were a disappointing cold steak sandwich and sausages on bread for $50 per person. The prawns we ordered were forgotten until we inquired about them, and we received 2 small plates of shrimp skewers (about 1 shrimp per person) as an apology. The staff was friendly, but it seemed the CEO lacked knowledge about running the establishment.
