First Watch - Clermont

This restaurant is usually quite consistent and delicious, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. However, today's meal only deserved 3 stars. I hesitated to rate it that low because they typically do such a great job. My dish was delayed and overcooked. While it was still tasty, the burnt flavor was quite noticeable.

*UPDATE I had the farm bowl and my neckby had the salmon eggs Benedict. Both came steamy hot and perfectly cooked! Always a great stop for breakfast! (4/19/22) As always, the food tasted fresh and was delicious. I've never had a bad meal. My favorite is the avocado toast.

I had many mixed experiences at this point. During my recent visit, my wife Andlme was served by Miguel. He was extremely attentive and got everything on our order exactly as we wanted (some quirks about how we have our eggs/pages etc.). Food was good and perfect and Miguel's service will let us come back.

I've always loved First Watch and have given it a lot of chances before and during the pandemic but it's so frustrating to always leave disappointed, now. As someone who is in the service industry, the service is just god awful. Kind people sure, but just awful. Our table and most around us, waited forever before even a greeting, while servers passed but wouldn't make eye contact. What has happened to hello, someone will be right with you; people next to me had to have waited at least 10 min. We ordered something and never saw anyone again. I went back to the kitchen to put in a beverage. Food was fine but would be better off taking it to go in the future (but pancakes to go, yuck). Absolutely no hustle, a table next to us was dirty the entire brunch, and never saw a manager. It seemed there wasn't one working. I understand understaffing, not able to keep up, and that valentine's is one of the busiest days of the year but that's why there was a 30 minute wait to get in. To secure a table with service. If you can't keep up with cleaning anything front of house, I'm terrified to think what's happening in the back of house.

Great experience, Im glad the wait was not long and we were served by Katelyn promptly. The food was quite good. I had the mushroom hash, very flavorful and great amount, it was suggested by Katelyn, she was great. I'd definitely go again
