Bidra med feedbackFood is ok but not cheap. could do with a bigger variety of beers plenty of seating outside also but only one loo which is a disaster when its busy, prices are dear and they have removed the free cheese that was given with pints, staff are standoff ish, seems to be aiming to be an irish bar but it certainly isn't.
Love rugby? Want to watch it on TV? Go to Cafe Pascal. Easy going, quality food and great beer. No brainer.....
Cafe Pascal is a rugby bar and as we were in town for a rugby match against the local team we naturally gravitated towards the bar.We came away with the observation that, rather like the Clermont rugby team, it has a lot going for it but tends to fall in the later stages of the competition. There was a reasonable selection of beer but only just reasonable,a reasonable selection of food ( but not before 6pm on the day we were there ) but only just reasonable and staff who were perfectly perfunctory but who did not really make much more of an effort. Our steak and chips were okay but nothing to write home about which is why I'm writing about them here instead.Interestingly we noted that the visiting fans spent hundreds of euros a day without so much as a dry cracker or plain sandwich being proffered the other way across the bar in the way of thanks.Without the rugby being shown on their television I'm not sure we would have made much of an effort to stay.
A lovely little bar with a great choice of drinks, very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Music is also pretty good and all major sport matches are shown.
A great little pub tucked in next to the cathedral across the square from Maitre Kanter__Typical pub farefriendly staff.
