Marci Jo’s Olde Mountain Store

What a charming little mountain restaurant and store! The service was excellent, and the food was delightful. The sandwich was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The Mac and Cheese was fantastic—definitely homemade and not from a box. The mini cupcake that came with my meal was scrumptious! The staff was incredibly friendly, embodying that warm Southern hospitality. The prices were reasonable, and the place has a lovely old-town vibe that adds to the atmosphere.

The women at the counter were incredibly rude and made me feel uncomfortable. Even if the cake had been the best I’ve ever tasted (which it definitely wasn't), I still wouldn’t return to this place because of their behavior. I tried to engage with them, expressing my happiness about being there, but I received no response, not a single smile, nor even a glance in my direction. It was genuinely odd. If you’re okay with ordering your food without so much as a greeting or any basic courtesy, then this is the place for you. It definitely had a bad vibe.

We’ve driven past this charming little stop countless times, but today marked the first time in five years that we decided to check it out. What a delightful sweet shop it is! We enjoyed some ice cream, had lunch, and indulged in brownies after a day of fishing. The food was fresh, the place was clean, and the staff were super friendly.

Love this place! I always get the club sandwich with baked beans and sweet tea. Each meal comes with a mini cupcake. They have so many cute, homemade goodies! And delicious treats. The cheesecake brownies are amazing!

After hiking at Pleasant Ridge County Park, my wife and I decided to stop here after reading all the good reviews, and we were so glad we did! With a nice farmhouse atmosphere, good food, and great customer service, this place is definitely a spot anyonein the area will want to check out. My chicken salad croissant was great, and my wife's jambalaya was amazing! The complimentarymini cupcake was a nice touch. Before we left, we got a slice of strawberry cake and a fudge brownie to go, both of which wereextremely good. We'll definitely stop by here again when we come back to this area.
