Asked for the pulled beef brisket today (which I have had here several times since the new ownership took over in July, and which is my favourite thing on the menu), but was served sliced brisket instead. When I asked about it I was told they were not going to serve the pulled beef any more. The brisket that I got was tasty enough, but was the chewiest brisket I have ever had. The cabbage and black beans were both pretty good. I'm much less likely to go back if the pulled beef is really gone...
The food was good. I had half-plate pork ribs, saccotash and rice. The sides were unnoticed, but the ribs were good. Also 3 shrimp tacos with the house sauce is excellent; Flakey Shell Tortillas. He hoped that more attention would be given to the seating area and the toilets, but not much change in these aspects. Much potential for a sitting bbq place in a busy growing city, though, the food is hittin.
Khari is the Best!!! He makes his customers feel like family!! And he cooks the BEST Blackened Salmon EVER!!!! Chicken is awesome, Ribs are Great but that Salmon OMG
I liked this place. I NEVERRRRR like Plantain, as always... but these were the most tasty, tasty plantain I had!!! Better than authentic, cooked in Jamaica! The shrimp-po-boy was spicy and absolutely skurril! I'll come back to try some more articles. The two guys in the restaurant were pleasant and they played great music from the 90s!
