Harbor House - Clinton Township

While our waitress handled her large party well, the wait staff in general was slow. The crab legs were smaller than usual, and the prime rib was mostly fat, overcooked, and resembled a flattened pancake, with a terrible taste. The frog legs were also awful, which made me hesitant to try anything else. The salad I made for myself was decent, although perhaps I just thought that because I was so hungry. The manager’s demeanor was rude, and he should have at least adjusted our bill or offered some sort of compensation for the subpar food. Overall, I was very disappointed and would rate this place zero stars.

The food was excellent, but the service was disappointing. The ordering system they use, where you choose one item from the menu, eat it, and then wait for another selection to be brought to you, is quite time-consuming and frustrating. We waited at least 15 minutes between entrées. The salad bar also had a limited selection. We ended up spending $71.00, which didn’t even include drinks, and they don’t offer free refills. Given the price, you would expect that they would. If you're looking for a good buffet, I recommend Golden Corral for its wider variety, better service, and lower prices!
