Bricks – (M)eating Point Restaurant

This place is one of the best in Cluj! If you are traveling in the city, and if you have time than I strongly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.I have been here many times and they surprise me every time. Today I tried the lamb soup (bors) and the teriyaki veal. Yes that was an excellent choice, taste, flavor, tenderness of the meat, all the best qualities for a great food!I say Bravo!!!! To the chef! I went to Bricks for my boyfriend's birthday. The main courses were ok, but definitely not tasty. The deserts were good, but veeeeery expensive. All the food is very expensive for what they offer.The restaurant is very nice though. We liked the atmosphere and also the design. The service was also very ok.It's also got a nice terrace. But the food is definitely not great.

The overall location of this place is overlooking the river. The patio area has a beautiful view, however if you don't like the smell of cigarettes outside may not be for you. I had the spinach lasagna with grilled vegetables. Everything was good, but I've had better.

I chose this restaurant because of its lovely location, right above the river Somes. While the food is really good here and the restaurant is modern and pleasant, the waitresses were not very polite and late to bring the order and the bill.

Pros : location. The terrace by the river brings a Venice air into ur dinnerDecent trained staffFood was good had a pastry with goat cheese and rucola salad with trufle oil dressing , balance was good , tasted divine as you wouldnt expect that from something that simple. The turkey with polenta and mushrooms was a decent combination as well. Probably one of the best polentas I tasted. Now the creme brulee is a must. Just try it.Cons : some waiter I guess it was a trainee so not really a con but if he wasnt a trainee oh well. He mixed our drink order couple times , cant reply with a u re welcome at a thank you. The paper they put on the tables feels cheap.Prices of appetizers are same as some main dishes in couple cases. Weird.Definetly worth a visit.
