Black Rooster Peri Peri - Coatbridge

Love peri chicken and never tried this place out , travel a lot due to work and so often try new peri peri places ! Walked in and was fairly quiet, so thought it would be a quick service , ordered peri fries , mozzarella bites and 1/2 chicken mild (No medium option not an issue but so played safe with mild after 10 minutes a group of 30/40 kids came into the place to order there lunch from school (Glad I was in first However over the next 30 minutes all the kids ordered and got served before I eventually got my food to takeaway. Short walk to my work and once I sat down and started to eat , the peri fries were cold as were the mozzarella bites , and the chicken was between cold and warm . Not a great start to this , after having 1/4 of the chicken I noticed that it didn't taste that great and the flavour was just not there , upon stripping the chicken off the bone I saw that it was undercooked and pink towards the middle . This was the final straw for me (threw most of the meal in the bin! , as I write this I have some stomach pains and don't feel very good at all 36 hours after eating . Hopefully I don't get worse . Hopefully no one else got served undercooked chicken and everyone is okay ! 1 out of 5 stars is generous for a very very poor meal.

I visited this restaurant with my son, who is a regular here. We finally had the chance to dine together and I must say, it was affordable and the food was delicious. The chicken was particularly tasty, and while the spicy rice wasn't very spicy, everything was still very flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the place was clean.

Great value chicken a la Nando’s style. Sides were huge! Great for a pit stop. Fresh cooked fast food. Would recommend for a healthy fast food

I visited the Livingston branch. Its been open for a good we while now and thought I'd finally take a visit. One bite and decided this place just isn't for me. Seeing the jars of sauce being opened and the constant ping of the microwave had put me off. Not for me

I have visited several Black Roosters and this one is definitely one of the better ones. The seating is comfortable and the restaurant is clean. The staff at this location are much friendlier as well. However, this is not a place for a romantic meal.
