Starbucks - Coeur d'Alene

Starbucks became profitable for the first time in Seattle in the early 1980s. The company faced economic difficulties while expanding into the Midwest and British Columbia in the late 1980s, but saw renewed success after entering California in the early 1990s. The first Starbucks location outside North America opened in Tokyo in 1996, and today, international locations make up nearly a third of its total stores. Between 1987 and 2007, Starbucks opened an average of two new locations each day. On December 1, 2016, Howard Schultz announced his resignation as CEO, effective April 2017, with Kevin Johnson prepared to succeed him. Johnson officially took on the role of CEO on April 3, 2017, while Schultz transitioned to the position of Chairman Emeritus on June 26, 2018.

Anna was exceptionally friendly! We ordered drinks for ourselves and usually make hot cocoa for the kids at home since it can get quite pricey. However, Anna was so thoughtful—she prepared a hot cocoa for my boyfriend's son and generously topped it with whipped cream since he had ordered it all by himself! She even cut a straw for him because they didn’t have any small enough for kids' drinks.

This is the best Starbucks I've ever visited! The drinks are always excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Pam, in particular, is amazing!

Every time I've visited this restaurant, my order has been prepared perfectly. The interior is inviting and well-maintained. They have a great selection of coffees and pastries; while the prices are on the higher side, the quality is impressive. Although it doesn't always warrant the expense, it's a convenient spot with a good variety. It's a lovely place to unwind with a cup of coffee and enjoy the reliable Wi-Fi. Overall, my experiences lead me to say this is a well-kept Starbucks location.

The employee chose to stop taking drink orders ten minutes before closing, which felt a bit premature. This isn't the level of service I would expect from a Starbucks. However, it's hard to anticipate when an employee may not be as motivated, as was the case here.
