Coffin Bay Hotel

The hotel room was immaculately clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant at the hotel was fantastic, with delicious food and attentive staff.

I met my family at this restaurant for lunch and we all had a delicious meal. The Oysters Kilpatrick with crispy bacon were amazing! I decided to try the Thai Beef Salad and I'm so glad I did. It had thinly sliced warm steak on a crispy, fresh salad. My partner ordered the Beef Schnitzel with Diane Sauce and he was very happy with his choice as well.

The hotel is conveniently situated a short walk from the waterfront of Coffin Bay. Upon arrival, you check in at the hotel bar where the staff are welcoming and helpful. Our room was well-maintained and equipped with all essential amenities. Additionally, there is a back entrance leading to a veranda with seating outside each room.

The meals at the hotel are awesome, I will find it hard to find another restaurant to beat what they have. The rooms on the other hand were pretty basic circa 1960/70s and are in need of a well deserved makeover. No hanging space in our room, we had to use the backs of chairs, shower pressure was great, but shower leaked at the bottom of screen all over the bathroom floor. Walls were all bare brick, very dusty and uninviting. Kettle was disgusting, bits of plastic floating in the bottom, needless to say we didn't use the kettle. Breakfast for $10 was cereal and plain white bread. We went elsewhere for breakfast. Sorry guys, the restaurant, we give you 10 out of 10, the room we give you 5 out of 10 because the shower pressure was good and the bed was comfortable. Hope to see new refurbished rooms whenever we return.

We have had dinner twice at the Coffin Bay hotel this week, partly because they are open for meals 7 days a week, and there are few to no options elsewhere in town during the early part of the week. The staff are friendly, there is a front bar area, a traditional dining room and a covered outdoor area too. The menu is pretty standard fare for a pub with and added emphasis on seafood and particularly oysters understandably! Food is good, prices are fair and the wine list is adequate.
