Charlie's Restaurant - Coffs Harbour

Charlie's restaurant is the onsite restaurant at Novotel's Pacific Bay resort in Coffs Harbour.During a 2 day stay enroute to Sydney from Brisbane, after a longish drive south (roadworks) we decided to eat in at Charlie's. A great decision!The service was excellent and the menu sufficient for good choice. Medium priced, the meals were good quality and medium sized. We enjoyed 'happy hour' before dinner - seriously good value from, again, excellent bar staff.Breakfast was to 4 star standard and to the standard we expected. Again, service was a stand out. No complaints whatsoever!So good was our first experience we returned for our second night's meal at Charlie's. Again a sound choice.Admittedly we are Accor members and so enjoyed membership benefits (meals only). Nevertheless the quality of meals at Charlie's was consistent and good.We will stay at Pacific Bay on the way home and dine again exclusively at Charlie's-because is it good value and excellent service.

A little on the expensive side but good food. Recommend booking table near window overlooking water. Predinner drinks at bar during Happy Hour recommended before to keep costs down

Well prepared, great tasting, lots of it, restaurant has beautiful outlook over water, either from inside or outside

We're staying at the Pacific Bay Terraces, found this 'Grabit & Go' brochure in our room, which appeared awesome. It's resort style takeaway from this restaurant but they also offer room service for a charge. We were prepared to pay for room service delivery but were refused when we rang. Apparently our unit isn't one of those managed by Novotel. I get that, though it seems silly to deliver to the unit next to mine, but not delivering to me. However, what was much worse was the incompetent manner with which our refusal was managed. The French gentleman we spoke to seemed to have no clue about the 'Grabit & Go' brochure at all. He eventually handed us over to an American accented manager who was downright blunt and rude! Appalling customer service and a terrible reflection on Novotel.

Enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at Charlie's during an overnight stay at Novotel Pacific Bay. The quality of the food was excellent and beautifully presented, the menu offered a very good variety of choices and the serving sizes were spot on. Highly recommended
