Colheita 71- De Hambúrgueres - Colares

Do not be put off by the almost invisible entrance up steep stairs from the street, we totally recommend this funkily decorated little bar with excellent food and wine. We turned up for dinner, without a booking, tired after walking 13km from Cabo da Roca, and not really sure what we wanted. The chef patron proposed a selection of 4 petiscos and a local red wine, all produced rapidly and utterly delicious. A salad of chickpeas, cucumber and red onion, small slices of steak in a mustard sauce, courgette with salmon and a sharp cheese, and revueltos with chorizo, followed by a poached quince with walnuts, cinnamon and cream. Heaven.

Eating at Colheita 71 was one of the high points of our recent wonderful holiday in Portugal. Mia was the kindest and most attentive of hostesses. She made us very welcome and dealt beautifully with the specific dietary needs of one member of our party. (With a little advance notice, she prepared a most delicious salad, off menu). The rest of the party were also treated royally, sharing a section of wonderful regional dishes, which were discussed at length for the remaining days of our holiday! We would advise leaning into Lia's wonderful recommendations and just going for it. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The experience was enhanced further by the relaxed, eclectic and warm ambiance of the restaurant and the most appropriate playlist which was on in the background, quite 70s disco heavy in a very good way! Divers and delicious local tapas, served as Food sharing. Away from tourist tracks. Honest, friendly and direct service. Intimate atmosphere. A true Portuguese treasure!

Don't get caught in a touristy place in Senistra, if you can have real food and a cute, helpful and friendly waitress as in this restaurant. Try the traditional dish, I preferred the vegetarian one. Great view as well! Always again

The place and staff are very warm and inviting. The decor of the place is very unique. It feels as if you are in a cabin. The food and dessert were delicious .
