Riverside Table Table - Coleraine

It was my first visit to this restaurant, and I have to say the food was outstanding and flavorful. The prices are especially reasonable given the current cost of living challenges. The staff was very friendly, and the clean, inviting atmosphere made for a delightful experience.

The restaurant always has a slightly unclean feel, and could really use a thorough cleaning. I've visited several times but won't be returning. The food is inconsistent; sometimes it's good, but other times it's quite disappointing, like the rubbery chicken and undercooked roasted carrots. The staff also vary—some are friendly and welcoming, while others are aloof and make you feel like a bother. With such unpredictability, we've decided to steer clear of this place in the future.

We attempted to have dinner at this restaurant, but we were turned away because our group, consisting of 4 adults and 5 kids, was deemed too large. This was particularly disappointing since we were guests at the hotel. The front-of-house manager was extremely unhelpful and rude; he wouldn’t take the time to discuss our situation or suggest any alternatives. He outright refused to arrange even two separate tables for us, saying the restaurant was fully booked, and then claimed the kitchen staff wouldn’t allow it. After leaving, we went to Hullabaloo’s bar and grill, which was excellent. They easily accommodated us with multiple table bookings via their website—clearly, they didn’t need our £260. The next morning, we had pre-booked breakfast at this restaurant. Thankfully, the experience improved: they had a great selection, friendly staff, and reasonable prices.

There were 7 in our party and after the first course there was a long delay before getting our main meals and another long wait for our deserts. Two had steak which we're over done and they were not happy with them. Staff were friendly and overall the meal and experience was ok.

I took the plunge and tried a place I had never been to for lunch. Took my wife also. Brownie points and all that.The place has a nice decor and the staff are polite and inviting. It stops there. Looked at the menu and seen Chipotle beef Nachos. It said and I quote Famil Fav also claimed to be new! They didn 't have any Chipotle beef? Thought to myself it is popular if they had run out.Bear in mind this was a Tuesday at 12.45.Ordered Nachos with the sloppy Joe vegetarian . Dont have any of the sloppy Joe sure it 's the same as the Chipotle beef I was told. Ordered the Nachos. The photo says it all. Doritos with what can only be described as not a lot In the end I had nothing as did my wife as she ordered them also. I was so disappointed and will not be back.The meals are sent from Whitleys brewery and Heated on the premises. Not my idea of catering.
