Cold Beer! Brewers - College Station

Freaking love this place!! I usually avoid Northgate like the plague but I will make an exception for this place. Family friendly brewery with great beer, strong community ties, good food, and pretty good waitresses. Camnot speak highly enough about thos place! The one and only drawback if I had to find a negative is the parking.... northgate parking freaking sucks.

I have never seen so many flies in one place. The food and servers were fine. But do not sit outside. There were at least 60 flies on our table of ten. Like Amityville Horror. I know there are flies outdoors, but get some zappers, water bags hanging, fans blowing, something. It was impossible to eat and frankly disgusting.

A nice setup in a converted old house with a wraparound porch and freezing cold interior marks the place. The beers are fairly well made (though the wit could use more coriander and citrus in my opinion and they also have a few OPB 's at hand for the less adventurous. The food while seemingly plebeian is actually quite good, though it has execution issues at times. For example : bbq chicken nachos are just a great combination of all nachoey things but with a nice tangy bbq sauce which really kicks it into high gear...but the last two times the bbq chicken which is more like a grilled chicken breast was burnt (no not caramlized and not good eats. Weekend brunch is nice with eggy dishes and the standards of waffles and chicken and things. Solid service rounds up the experience!

I am giving two stars and am willing to update should things change upon a future visit. Good things first. The food was amazing. The mimosa was delicious and I loved the atmosphere. The bad: our waiter, Juan, took so long in serving us, giving us menus, getting our food, and taking care of our check, we ended up spending an hour and half or so at the restaurant. He showed no hustle, no motivation and didn't seem to value our time. He only came by our table two or three times. It was not busy at all either. There were so few customers that waiters were watching the football game instead of serving tables. So yeah, amazing food and atmosphere, but someone needs to light a fire under these waiters' asses. That was ridiculous.
