Le Collongeois - Collonges-la-Rouge

We came for the view, thinking 'how bad can the food be? '. Well: terrible. We 're never coming back again. It could be a nice place for a drink though.

All four of us had pizza on the well shaded outside terrace. Very thin, crisp crust, slightly charred at the edges as we like, generous topping, enormous size delicious and reasonably priced. We have a house nearby and will certainly bring guests again.

Pleased to find this place open on a Sunday evening in early September when most in the main part of the village were closed, and those that weren't were either full or not offering anything we wanted to eat. Had a great view from the terrace as the sun went down while we ate. We chose the 19€ menu and the chèvre salad entrée was huge and delicious and the duck and steak we ordered were both good too. Friendly service and good value.

Simple but effective this restaurant is well placed with its panoramic terrace on the village. The staff is friendly. I found the right dishes. The value for me is good, hence the 5 stars.

I had a heartburn for this restaurant. Nice frame. Warm and warm welcome. Many choices with local product. Very good dish. I'll be right back.
