Smashburger - Colorado Springs

Normally I am a huge fan of Smashburger and would give every place I was 5 stars, they make great things and this place is just as great the times I had eaten here. This location, this BURGER restaurant, obviously cannot be harassed to serve Burger AN HOUR before closing. If you are not open for the service, then change your hours to reflect if you actually make a burger because people expect that when your hours say you are open and you will come a reasonable amount of time before you close that they can still order. I never had this problem in another restaurant. Just here.

Smashburger is a great concept and we had a wonderful service. They have burgers with a variety of blows such as bacon, grilled and fried chicken, salads and frits and cuffs. The tasty frits come with garlic, oil and rosemary. Our food was delicious, everything was fresh and we were quickly served for diving. We had a great first experience and would order again!

I went through the drive-thru and ordered a few bacon avocado burgers along with some other items. I ended up waiting 20 minutes at the payment window. I waited so long that the person behind me went inside to get their food and received it before I did. When they finally handed me my order, there was no apology or explanation for the delay. I inquired about the long wait, and they mumbled something about an "old ticket" and that it took them three minutes to prepare new burgers. By the time I got home, the food was cold—not even a little warm. It seemed like the burgers had been made much earlier and just sat in the bag for 20 minutes. When I opened them, the buns were icy, and the meat was completely cold. The quality was incredibly poor, and the customer service was dreadful.

I visited the drive-thru at Smashburger last night around 8:35 PM on a Saturday, when they are likely open until 10 PM. I ordered a Colorado burger, but the girl on the speaker informed me that they had a large DoorDash order and were closing soon. In disbelief, I asked if that meant they couldn’t make me just one burger, to which she replied, “No, we can’t.” I was really shocked and disappointed. This isn’t acceptable!
