Bidra med feedbackBest Italian food I?ve had in a very long time! We met friends there for dinner tonight. We drove about 45 minutes from our town to Columbia and were not disappointed! Definitely make reservations because the seating area is limited. The interior isdecorated nicely with several tables in the center and booths lining 2 walls. They don?t play music which was nice because wecould carry on a conversation without talking over the music. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout dinner. Westarted with 2 appetizers, the baked/fried ravioli and the basil pesto cheese flatbread. See pictures for menu names. Theravioli was full of delicious stuffing inside a crispy pasta served with a rich tomato marinara. It?s a generous serving of 6large raviolis. The flatbread is cheesy with a swirl of fresh basil pesto on top. For dinner, I ordered cheese lasagna with redsauce. I was going to get meat sauce, but it was a mixture of beef and pork, which I don?t like. The lasagna was thick withseveral layers of pasta and cheese and the serving size was generous. My friend ordered the pizza with fig jam, bacon, smokedpork, mozzarella, and goat cheese topped with arugula and balsamic glaze. The crust was crispy and it was topped with plenty offresh arugula. She really liked it. The other entree we ordered was linguini pasta with shrimp, onions, peppers, chicken, andItalian sausage tossed with a spicy white sauce. There were large shrimp and plenty of the listed ingredients. The sauce wascreamy and flavorful. We ordered the tiramisu and cannoli for dessert. The tiramisu was flavorful, but too dense? which is justa personal preference. We will definitely return sooner than later. We spent about $45 per person which included a glass ofwine, appetizer, entree, and dessert! A lovely evening with friends!
I'm new in town and don't know all the great places so I look for reviews on the web. Last night, I was craving Italian and found Barino. It looked good, had mostly good reviews so I ordered lasagna and Bolognese to take out. The order was correct andon time. However, I was disappointed when I got it home. The restaurant is very stingy with their sauce and there was only about3 tablespoons of marinara on each item. Since their lasagna is baked with no sauce, after 3 bites you are left with half theorder without sauce and although very tasty, it was too dry to eat. The Bolognese was only a bit better. At least all thespaghetti pasta had a tinge of red colour. Big waste of $50. 2 stars for effort I guess I'm forced to go back to my ownkitchen for good Italian.
Great Italian place. the waitress was amazing. very knowledgeable about everything that was asked and their recommendations were great. all around very nice atmosphere and they have a terrace if they want to eat outside. total great place eating was amazing. I would recommend if they like to eat Italian.
We were back on 6 25. as I said last time you have to get the fired green tomatoes with the mozzarella appetizer. Everyone ordered somthing else and there was not a thing left to take home. Not because the potions are small but because it is so good. The service was amazing. I think his name is Carin. Poor guy kept going back and forth to give us small tastes of wine and beer to make sure we would like it before we ordered. I ended up with Ice tea. I love this place but please get some more beers. I do not like IPA's so the beer list is tough for me. I understand it is hard to inventory a lot of beer, how about some Coors? No Coors lite. See you again soon. Make a reservation or you will be waiting
Dined at Barino for the second time. The food is good, but the hospitality leaves much to be desired. Both times Zea was our server. Rushed into ordering and no smiles or welcoming. Needed to ask for parmesan cheese, and when I requested another spoonful, the look on her face was appalling. This type of attitude from a server made the meal and time there undesirable. Not sure I would go back. Good food with better service elsewhere.
