Peking Chef - Columbia

It seems that not many people dine here, but the food is quite tasty. The portion sizes are excellent.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years, and I’m not sure why this place has such a low rating. The food is consistently good, served quickly and hot. Sandy, the owner, is always friendly but focused on running her business, so don’t expect a lot of small talk—just place your order and keep it moving. I would rate it a 5 if they offered dining in and had a liquor license. It feels like a missed opportunity for such a great space. However, the takeout food is excellent.

Awful attitude from the person on the phone! I recommend going to the Japanese Statehouse across the street instead. This place has a strange, uncomfortable atmosphere and the staff don't treat customers well. I'm not sure if they're underpaid, but we as residents and patrons deserve better than this unacceptable service. The woman on the phone sounded like she was having a terrible time at her job. It always feels like they’re reluctant to assist paying customers. My hope for 2022 is that this place gets shut down or under new ownership. Goodbye, unpleasant experience!

It?s very good food! We got the salt and pepper shrimp with scallops dish! The texture and taste was amazing and not like other restaurants I?ve been to that have this dish.

I have a mixed review about this place. Went out with a group to celebrate last night. It was everyone's first time at this establishment. The decor was OK but it was freezing in the restaurant. Even the server had a winter coat on. The initial approach from the server was very unpleasant. I am not sure what the problem was and was confused why she was being very abrupt and unfriendly since most of the review that I read on here stated they experienced a great service. It
