Bidra med feedbackOn Saturday evening (6/24), my family of 6 went to Alpine 614 for dinner. At the time, there was only 1 other table occupied at the time. We had some questions regarding the appetizers and the server seemed to be bothered with our questions. We preceded to order 5 appetizers for the table and all the appetizers were average in quality and taste. We also ordered a bottle of wine for the table and the server never asked if we wanted anything else. The server came back over and asked for our main course orders and (once again) was unpleasant . She never took the plates away from all the appetizers and the table was covered with plates. My brother asked if we could have the table cleaned up and she never came back. My brother had to remove all the plates from the table and placed them all at the table next to us. Our main courses arrived and we were disappointed. The bill was $320 without the tip for below average food and horrible service. At the end, we were never asked if we wanted any desserts, coffee, etc. After the dinner (plates were never removed) we had to go up to the bar and ask for the check. It was a disappointing experience and we would never go back. What a shame! They could don better!
Alpine and El Lugar is the hidden gem of German Village. You get two fantastic menus in one place and the food has been delicious every time I've been. Plus their wine selection is on point. The patio is also amazing in the spring/summer/fall!Food: 5/5
Do not leave until you’ve tried the raclette. The signature raclette is great to share. Also recommend the zoodles, the stuffed chicken breast, and the käsespätzle.
Went there for the raclette and it did not disappoint. The toasty warm cheese was an experience that left me in heaven. The cheese was tangy, sweet, nutty and buttery.
We had dinner tonight and I ordered the mushroom wellington and an akward Sicilian cannoli came, the mushrooms of the filling tasted roasted. I the ordered the wurstteller, came sausages instead of German bratwurst, but I guess it's their interpretation... the potatoes were burnt and I unable to eat them. The experience was awful and service slow.
