Pub Mahone - Columbus

I had the unfortunate experience of visiting the restaurant right before they closed their doors. The bartender mentioned that they were searching for a new location but hadn't found one yet. I hope they find a new place soon so I can visit them again!

The service was extremely slow, despite it being early afternoon with only a small crowd present. I had to request assistance multiple times. When I asked for the bill after my meal, they only provided a total without any breakdown. The experience felt more like a low-end bar rather than a respectable pub.

This is a fantastic place to enjoy an evening drink and snack, or to catch a game or fight. They used to offer a wide variety of Irish dishes, but now the menu mainly features pub food. That said, it's still quite good. I believe COVID took a significant toll on them, which is unfortunate. I'm giving them 5 stars because I'm Irish and I want to support them through their challenges. Stop by for a pint and see for yourself!

Went in for a drink and a meal, waited 10 minutes for a menu and 10 more to place a drink order. Then I was denied service because the waitress didn’t know what an NC drivers license looks like.

Came to eat, waited 10 minutes for a menu and then 10 minutes to put in a drink order and then was denied service because the waitress didn't know what a North Carolina ID looked like and thought it was fake.
