Bidra med feedbackMy wife and I finally got a chance to try Lola's Filipino-American Eats today. This was our first time ordering Filipino food. Although today was the first day for the lunch menu, we ordered two different entrees off of the dinner menu so we would have two things to try and have some leftovers. We ordered the Pancit Bihon noodles, with shrimp, and told them to leave off the bell peppers. We also got the adobo chicken with the garlic fried rice. We finished off the order with the fried rolls (lumpia). We hoped to also get the deep fried cheesecake lumpia as well, but they were out of them by the time we arrived. They were very busy on this particular Friday for lunch, but the wait was reasonable, especially because I was able to sit inside my car in the air conditioner and wait on them to bring it out. The noodles had a great flavor, and reminded me of Singapore noodles you'd get from a Chinese restaurant. The shrimp was very fresh and the portion size was just fine for one person for dinner, especially with lumpia on the side. If I had to be picky, I'd ask for the salt content to be lowered a little next time we ordered them again, since I do try to watch my sodium intake, but other than that, we enjoyed this dish. The chicken was very tender and also had lots of flavor. I especially loved the vinegary sauce that comes with it. I really liked the garlic rice. It had tons of garlic, and I really love garlic. The real star of the show was the lumpia. I could eat those all day. The had lots of meat in them. Although everything was good, I'd be perfectly happy with a plate of the garlic rice and a stack of the lumpia. Next time I'll try to get there early enough to get some of the cheesecake lumpia as well. Please excuse my poor quality photos. I took them quickly because I was hungry and didn't want to wait to eat.
New favorite spot to grab food in Conway! The pork shoulder was melt in your mouth tender and the spices really made this feel like home cooking! I can't wait to recommend this place to everyone!
Excellent quality, very nice folks, all I have gotten there has been first rate from the egg roll things to the pork shoulder adobo on rice to the chicken adobo sandwich. Flavorful sauces as well.
Got to Lola's and the service was super friendly. Not a ling wait at all about 15 minutes total for fresh hot food. Since it's based on an American twist on philpeno food it was really good! We have the spicy pork Adobe and the Chinatown noodles. We loved it. The egg rolls were to die for and even tasted great an hour later cold!!
My boyfriend and I got the lumpia, fried cheesecake, pork adobo, and the pulled adobo sandwich which may not be a permanent menu item, though it should be. Everything was beyond scrumptious. We?re definitely going to be back VERY soon.
