Bidra med feedbackI bought and eat twice. once it was good. the second time terrible. was it a curse? I don't know. but after this bad experience, I don't know that I'm trying a 3rd time. both paintings were taken out. I had n ok t had a fish taco in the old and had searched for one for literally, then I found about victor’s taco shop and saw online that they had fish tacos. Okay, I thought I'd give it. I can't eat much anyway, and see that a single small fish taco about $3 without real meal deal as it for the carne asada, tacos el pastor, etc., I just have one to start. I regretted not getting two. it was delicious! the claw was perfect, the broken fish fillet was fresh, hot, crispy, buttery tasting, and there was the perfect kick of how and a hauch of sweet in the claw. So I was excited to go back a week later when I was close, got another fish taco, plus 4 tacos el pastor to share with a friend because I trusted that she was good with how wonderful the fish taco was. I came to my car and decided that I would dive right into a fish tacco and a taco el pastor before I throw the other tacos off for a friend. So I bite into the fishtaco and taste it right away. that wasn't what I had before. instead of the delicious, crispy, butteryly broken fish fillet taste, there was this...Fish taste. Do you know what I mean? instead of trying real fish, it tasted like a cheaper impression of fishing, just fishing. the texture was wrong and despite the overwhelming unpleasant fake fish taste, the taco was mostly just shy. I open the taco and look inside to see a tiny cockhead. I also talk to a super cheap fishstick, such as Save-A-Lot brand or so. yes. $3 for a tiny mais tortilla with a shop brand-small and 1 tablespoon Slav. naw hard pass. in the müll it went. I opened the container with the tacos el pastor, hoping for redemption. but no. I had many tacos on my day, they can clearly see that with my fat back and that was just a sad taco. there were perhaps 3 to 4 very small pieces, hardly more than a crumb, of chickens per taco. it was about 70% cilantro and wobbles. there was no taste except cilantro in the did and I usually smash some cilantro hard. even the red was kind of tasteless. I have broken it into lime juice to make it easy to make it edible, not to feel as if I had $11 on fire. but in reality the medium dr. pepper was by far the best with this whole meal. I was too embarrassed to give my friend. they are not worth eating as they were and I went into the grocery store, bought Mexican crema, limette, mais tortillas, crushed cauliflower, frozen broken fish fillets. used a few ingredients to house (honey, mayo, seasoned) and made my own fish tacos in about 15 minutes from beginning to end, with much left to make several more batches. and much better than a fish stick. even better than the first really good fish taco. but you don't always want to do something. but that just ruined this restaurant for me. eating was just too terrible, especially for the price. I don't know if the second time was a curse or if the first time was. but what I know is that the cook served me this, and that's not good. I worked in food service for a long time. I would never be in order to serve my customers. absolutely not. I'm at the Taco truck at the Shell station on Willow. the load is broken if you don't want to cook?
Very good fresh food, fast, served by nice people. What more could you ask for? Green sauce ?
We've searched for years and Victor's is the closest we've found to our greatly missed southern California Mexican food. We'll definitely be back.
Love the food. The hot sauce are delicious. Staff is quick and friendly.
Absolutely love this place. Everytime I go to Cookeville I must stop and eat. I'm originally from SoCal and I miss my taco shops! It compares very well to the taco shops I miss. Super friendly staff, excellent food, and good prices! Can't beat it. Thanks for being in business guys!
