Bidra med feedbackI have no cake to describe this facility! eating taste business bought (promised to be cooked at home),) I wanted to be my man and my three children (all under 10 years old) for Christmas dinner, but was shocked to find the price. £55 each for adult and £29 for children under 11. I am a mother of three young children I know myself, they all would not eat much, so their price is so shocking!? this is more less £200 on a carvery that is located in a small, abandoned, stuffy room that looks like a school of the 19th century! the music is unbearable loud and it is always the same, it is old schoolland that I have even found that most older customers cannot stand. the staff is bad, but I believe that many are under the age, the young girls are often seen around running like headless chickens without help, one or two I have heard management rude and respectfully also add the workers no help! eating can be good in some parts, but as I have recently written, tastes very brandy and not homemade. once or twice the utensilis I have seen had old eating tied to the handles and water stains. go to a restaurant that is called “classical” and “well maintained” I hate to think that the cutlery is not properly washed. serious inspection requirement required!
Absolutely top notch. excellent eating, beautiful atmosphere. the open fire is so cozy and the staff is very accommodating. would be highly recommended and will certainly be back in the near future!
Where do you start?? Upon arriving at the car park and seeing how busy it was we were looking forward surely somewhere so busy must be good. Sadly that was not the case. The website advertises this as fine dining which I can honestly say...has to be the most polar opposite of what this place is. The decor is terrible and furniture is very very dated. The large room where we sat for the carvery was laid out like a school dining room all very perculiar. We were there for a 5 Course Carvery which is more like a Buffett with a carvery course. The food was not good at all. The meats on the carvery which the website stated were cooked to perfection were awful. The beef was that dry it was inedible the same can be said about the pork and turkey. I requested whether they had any beef that was a little moister and more on the medium side rather than a texture more dry than a cream cracker. This was request was met with a response of this is how everyone likes it. The veg was poor, the only positive was the cauliflower cheese. The Yorkshire puddings looked frozen rather than homemade. All in all not a fine dining experience at all. If this was produced by a proffessional chef it’s questionable??
This has to be the best kept secret for Sunday dinners, 5 courses and every thing you ever needed, has to be the best selection of food in one place. and tasty too.
Ridiculously priced food is like rubber, music is extremely loud staff are unfriendly cant be bothered about anything
