Bowled Over Bistro - COOKTOWN

The restaurant has a charming and welcoming atmosphere, with a menu offering a good variety of delicious dishes. The staff are helpful and the location is convenient in the center of the city.

We were so impressed with our meal on our first night in Cooktown that we headed back the second night. We are glad that we booked a table as people were being turned away at the door. The salads were fresh and well presented and...the steak was excellent. Drink prices are the cheapest that we have encountered in recent years. But the best thin about this club is the wonderful staff who are both friendly and very well organised.

A very disappointing dinner for us. I had the prawn and crocodile laksa, it was more like a bowl of hot coconut cream with noodles and prawns, no flavour. My husband had the garlic prawns and again no flavour, there seemed to be no garlic.

Very welcoming venue, the food was excellent, and the kitchen very well run the entree and kids’ meals came out first, and then all the mains at once attentive and friendly staff the icing on the cake. Probably a because the steak...was smidge over done, but rounding up due to the excellent kitchen team!
