Cafe Vin and Cie - Coquelles

Always an easy option for a quick meal before returning to England after the occassional "Booze run" Service is good and the meals sufficient. However the Restaurant is looking very tired and could benefit from an "overhaul".

The bar area in the Ibis Calais Tunnel sous le Manche is small but pleasant and comfortable and separate from the restaurant for those who want a drink before eating or those not intending to use the restaurant. Free Wi-Fi is also a bonus. Across...the road in Cite Europe there are bigger bars but sometimes a quiet drink is preferable.

Menu could do with updating it seems to be less choice than last year. Staff helpful and friendly although they kept wanting to herd people together in one corner of the restaurant. Choose your table and stick to it.

Good food, very good service. It can get so busy at this restaurant that when you reserve a table you also need to reserve a time slot. I expected a long waiting time and was pleasantly surprised when my food was served in a timely...manner. The service was excellent and attentive.

We had breakfast here, it's pretty basic but sufficient: mainly pastry, cold cuts, cereals, fruit, boiled eggs, juice and coffee. No fried eggs, bacon or other hot food. person
