Bidra med feedbackHowever, I was disappointed with the quality of my Alaska roll during my last visit. It seemed to be made with expired avocado, as some pieces were a dark brown color. While minor, this definitely affected the overall quality of the meal. I will give them another chance, but if the quality issues persist, I may try one of the many other sushi restaurants in the area.
For lunch today, NW and I went to Sushi Boss in Coquitlam. It’s just a little restaurant on the corner of Robson and Pinetree Way so don’t expect a lot of seating area. I’ve had takeout from here before but it was my first time eating in. Complimentary Salad Gyozas. We were surprised and delighted that they gave us a complimentary salad and 2 pieces of gyoza. The salad also included edamame, apple slices, and orange which was awesome. I really liked the dressing. It was was like a citrus/miso combination. The gyozas were cooked fresh and very hot when they came out so that was great :
Amazing Japanese cuisine with quick service and welcoming staff. The sushi is incredibly fresh, and their chicken teriyaki and deep-fried tofu with strawberry sauce are unique and delicious. Definitely a must-try for sushi lovers in the Westwood plateau area.
Sushi boss is a hidden gem in the tri-cities area. A friendly family owned sushi restaurant that uses fresh ingredients and has a unique menu! We decided to try the firecracker roll which has avocado, crab, prawn tempura, and is topped with a torched spicy tuna. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and all the flavors went really well together. They weren't shy on the crab meat either! We will be back to try their more unique menu items (we saw a roll that used cheddar popcorn and bacon.. Hmmmm!
The best sushi. We've been to many Sushi restaurants in the Tricities and in Vancouver. This is the absolute best. They also serve the wild salmon.
