Gringo’s Oyster - Coral Gables

I highly recommend Leonardo! His fantastic energy and positive demeanor are exactly what you look for in customer service. The portion sizes were bigger than I expected, and the food was incredibly flavorful. I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it was quite empty, which allowed for quick service. The prices were also reasonable. Just a tip: their hours listed on Apple Maps are incorrect. I did have a bit of a problem with the attitude and tone of the bar server, Nicole; she didn't appear to have the best people skills. However, Leonardo's outstanding service is what truly deserves a solid 5 stars for this place!

The happy hour selections are excellent, and the food complements them perfectly. The conch fritters were delicious, and the mahi tacos surpassed my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by how budget-friendly the mac and cheese was, especially given the generous portion size. I will definitely be back for oysters and to take advantage of more happy hour specials. Overall, I would give it an 8.6 out of 10.

The portion sizes are great for the prices, and the food is delicious—even for someone like me who doesn't eat seafood. The manager was fantastic, but the service from the staff was lacking. We have dietary restrictions, and when they got our order wrong by including ingredients we can't eat, they didn't remove it from the bill, which was quite disappointing. Overall, I would rate the food quality a 5 out of 5.
