Mamey Miami - Coral Gables

Aside from the enjoyable company of my work friends, there were only a few highlights from my experience at Mamey. The ambiance was pleasant, our waiter was friendly, and the grilled cheese appetizer was the best dish we had during lunch. Most of us opted for the churrasco, which was supposed to come with yuca according to the menu. However, there was no yuca on our plates—instead, we were served a bed of canned corn accompanied by a chimichurri relish that fell short of our expectations. To make up for the missing yuca, we were given a side of rice and beans. While it was a nice gesture, the dish itself was quite bland. Overall, I was not impressed by the quality of the food considering the price. There are plenty of other options in the area that offer much better cuisine.

Love Mamey. The decor is great. Food is always amazing and flavorful. The rum cake and grilled cheese with guava sauce is my absolute favorite! Great customer service and wonderful for taking tons of photos.

The flavors were delightful, and the dishes were well-prepared. Parking can be a bit challenging to find, as it’s somewhat limited in the area. However, there is a paid parking lot available nearby. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!

I particularly recommend trying the White Truffle and Brie Grilled Cheese, which stood out among the offerings.
