Celia Jimenez - Córdoba

You arrive at this interesting new star cook restaurant only by recommendation, not accidentally. It is in a strange place: a sports building in a shopping mall has a restaurant nothing unusual. But inside it you find something completely different. Celia Jimenez cooks young, fresh, surprising versions of the local Andalusia cuisine. She offers two tasting menus, one of 8 and the other of 12 dishes. We visited her last week with a gang of four friends from different countries and a 2 years old child. We had a marvellous experience. Every dish had surprising elements and tasted great and well balanced. Vegetables, fish, Iberian pig, lamb, ...light, modern kitchen with molecular elements. The portions were not quite as small as you get often with this kind of really fine food. Also the flexibility was fine: One of us does not eat pork, so she replaced the Iberian pig dishes by one fish and one with vegetables, both different from the rest and also tasty. And for the small child, different options were offered, and she enjoyed a tasty butter fish with vegetables. Also the wine and the desserts were superb. We will surely come back next time we will visit Cordoba.

But getting such great food makes me happier than happy. I have sampled the very best eateries in town and this one is hands down in the Top 3... impeccable!!!

A different choice, I have tried this restaurant several times, for dinner with friend and for the daily menu when working. At the end of the day, you can taste the same difference one way or another, let's say that the daily menu is very good with dishes cooked with style and medium size, when your day is not the best, you can try to go for the daily menu and feel different and feel like is everyone was done only for you! The night experience is a top one, obviously the price is high but definitively good value. Very good option around some tennis courts... for me some two of my favorites things in life.

Food price and menu well, presentation and quality. But between the first and the second gave us time to see the first part of the galaxy war. and not the waitress that happened a lot. Maybe more people than a attendant would be more normal.
