The Briar Rose - Cork

Turned up on a Saturday night with no booking (visiting from O.S. but was made to feel welcome. Waited at the bar until a table was available. Then quick service, great food and wonderful atmosphere. A very enjoyable evening.

We try to go to The Briar Rose every Thursday night for the quiz. The food is great and there's such a fun atmosphere there. Darren is such a hilarious quiz host that we don't mind that we've never actually won! Highly recommended.

I was here for a charity speed quiz, which was great craic. There's a speed quiz here in general every Thursday night which is a fun night out. Can't comment on the food as I only had drinks. They serve mocktails-and as I recall they have non alcoholic Bulmers and non alcoholic Erdinger so I can't fault them for their range of alcohol-free drinks. I found the service to be quick and efficient. There's plenty of outdoor seating too. I'll definitely be back.

Great place for food and a match, staff were lovely, good menu, can't complain, only gave 4 stars because the steaks were gone at a 730 booking. But what was available was perfect,
