Loose Caboose - Cornwall

This restaurant has been in operation for over 35 years, and despite not being a regular customer, I decided to give it a try. On two separate visits, I ordered a large portion of fries, but both times they were overcooked and crispy, with some even being bent back and dark. Additionally, I was not provided with any utensils, napkins, or condiments like ketchup or vinegar. The high cost of $5.00 for subpar fries seemed unreasonable, especially considering how inexpensive potatoes are. It's puzzling why this place continues to attract customers with overpriced and low-quality food. I had a much better experience at another restaurant on Montreal Street, where I enjoyed good food, generous portions, and fair prices. The only downside was the lower-class customer service at this particular establishment.

I had written a review of this chip truck over 3 years ago and thought it was about time to provide an update. The owners have made several improvements in recent years, and the kitchen staff have significantly improved their cleaning and food preparation techniques. The truck offers daily specials, the food is fresh and made to order, and the staff is usually very friendly, even though there is often turnover. The food is quite good for a chip truck. Keep up the great work, and I will continue to support you. Excellent job.

This restaurant is the only chip stand open in the winter in Cornwall. Lately, when I've had a craving, I've been going there. However, the waiting time for everything was quite long. I shouldn't have to wait 10 minutes for 2 simple hot dogs and a small fry, especially when I was the only one who had placed an order. The food is average and nothing special.

Located in a former caboose, the Loose Caboose is the best value for fast food in Cornwall, particularly if you get there on their discount nights. Fast, no frills, fresh take out.
