Port William Inn

We have just returned from a lovely short stay at the port William. The room was beautiful and clean with a stunning view overlooking the sea. We ate in the restaurant and the food was really tasty, the breakfast sets you up for the day!...All of the staff were really friendly and helpful, we really can’t fault any aspect of our stay. Thank you, our batteries are recharged!

We had a lovely weekend getaway at the Port William and immediately felt at home upon arrival. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with tips on local attractions and walks. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. Our room had an amazing sea view, allowing us to watch the waves crashing against the rocks in the morning. We dined at the restaurant both nights and were especially impressed with the steak, which was one of the best we've ever had. Thank you Port William for a wonderful weekend.

This restaurant is located on the beautiful SW Coastal Path and offers stunning views of the sea from its terrace, bar, and bedrooms. Ellie and her team provided outstanding service, with a special mention to Matt who took great care of us on my wife's birthday. The food and service were excellent, and the rooms were comfortable and decorated in a coastal theme. The overall experience was great value for money, especially during a time when many places are not.

The service was excellent, but unfortunately, the food was awful. The Fish and Chips were dry and tasted stale. I have visited this restaurant on and off for some time now. I will not be ordering food from here again unless there is a significant improvement in quality.

Lovely food, service and scenery! this is one of my locals and i love it! It would be great if they marked out what was dairy free on their menus though, like they do for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian (gf, vg, v). Dairy and...lactose intolerances and allergies are quite common these days. However, they are usually very accomodating and cautious if you let them know your allergy. Unfortunately, they forgot this time and i ended up with a roast that had dairy mash and a dairy yorkshire pudding. We were a bit suspicious and luckily we double checked when the food arrived. If they made some small changes, like switching to plant based alternatives for dishes that they use a bit of butter or milk in, (like mash and yorkshire puddings) we could enjoy so much more of the food they offer. Plant based butter and milk make very little difference in taste for these items. It's only really when you have cheese or ice cream that it would be very diffent to use a plant based alternative. Often, dairy-free people are forced to go vegan or have several items from the meal removed. Would be great if this didn't have to be the case. Al in all, a lovely place!
