AMAZING HAPPY HOUR!!! This is a fantastic spot for creative sushi during the week. I loved both the food and the prices. If I still lived in Corpus, I would definitely come here every week. The service was excellent, and I never had to wait for anything!

Do you ever wonder if waitstaff get exhausted from constantly rushing around just to avoid being summoned for every little thing? If you're going to tip poorly, maybe it's best to reconsider dining out! Generally, waiters are polite to everyone, but if they see you frequently leaving just a $2 tip, it can be disheartening—especially since good service doesn’t discriminate based on looks. Some people are just perpetually unhappy, which might say more about them than the service they're receiving. We work hard and have families to care for, so we don’t really need customers like that. Our base pay is just $2.15 an hour, and we'd love to earn tips that reflect our effort. Thanks for understanding!

The sushi is beautiful, and the Japanese cuisine is truly authentic! The service is excellent too.

AKA Japanese Downtown. My partner and I had dinner here on Friday night. We didn't have to wait very long to take place, the waiter was friendly, and the service was pretty good even though they were crowded. We enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was excellent. We started with an appetizer of herbal tempura. That was great. For the ducks, my partner ordered the AKA Sirloin Steak, which he really said cooked for perfection. I ordered the seafood joy that was a combination of lobster, shrimp and scallops. It was wonderful. If possible, save space for dessert and order the flaming bananas. You'll be amazed!

This place is so relaxing and I love the staff there very nice. The best sushi that I 've ever eaten in corpus. My favorite dish is the sushi called monkey brains . It 's to die for!!
