From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our experience began with a round of cocktails, expertly crafted by the talented bartender. Although we failed to capture a picture of the Long Island iced tea my wife enjoyed or the dirty Shirley that I indulged in, it's worth mentioning that both drinks were superbly made. The bartender's skill was evident in the balanced flavors and perfect presentation. We appreciated the attention to detail and the evident passion for mixology. Moving on to the main course, I opted for the prime rib with a side of spaghetti and meat sauce. The prime rib was a true star of the evening. Cooked to perfection, it was tender and succulent, while the fat melted in my mouth, enhancing the overall flavor. The pairing with spaghetti and meat sauce was an unexpected delight. The combination worked surprisingly well, and I found myself savoring every bite. My wife chose the Filet mignon with a side of ravioli and pesto sauce. The filet mignon had a delectable charbroiled crust, adding a delightful smoky flavor to the tender and perfectly cooked meat. It was exactly how she had ordered it, cooked to a juicy medium. The ravioli with pesto sauce complemented the dish beautifully, adding a fresh and vibrant element to the plate. Throughout our dining experience, our server, Pete, truly stood out. Not only was he attentive and knowledgeable, but his sense of humor added a delightful touch to the evening. Pete's excellent service elevated our overall experience, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of. In summary, Marin Joe's provided us with a memorable dining experience. The expertly crafted cocktails and the mouthwatering entrees left us thoroughly impressed. The prime rib and spaghetti combination was a surprising highlight, while the filet mignon and ravioli dish showcased the chef's culinary expertise. With Pete's exceptional service, we felt like valued guests throughout the night. While we regret not being able to capture the visually stunning cocktails, our overall experience at Marin Joe's was one to remember. I hate to report this but Joe's ain't Joe's anymore..I worked there for 12 years as a line cook starting back in 1981..Paul and Ralph are good guys but their Father Romano is probably turning over in his grave right now..The entire staff use to love working there back then, it originally opened in 1954..The quality of the food was outstanding..We were open from 11am to 1am with 2 shifts of line cooks, 9am to 5pm and then the next shift 5pm to 1am..It was a well oiled machine and I loved working there, also was union with good health benefits.. So went back with a few friends, once for lunch and once for dinner and not only have they cut corners but everyone working there looked like they rather be in hospital having heart surgery..They use to be open 7 days a week, now they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays and only open from 5pm to 10pm..Its sad to a such a great institution go down the drain..
An institution. Parking: They generally reserve the lot for valet parking which you can choose to do. But better to just drive a bit south and you’ll find a parking lot that you can park in. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
I drive by this place quite frequently and always wanted to try it. The food was delicious and the old style environment is so homey. The service was great and looking forward to visiting again soon.
