Rival's Taphouse Grill - Corunna

We are in town for a horse show and decided to go out. We decided to go here and wow...all 8 of us were so impressed with our service and food! So good!!!

Since the new management had taken over a number of changes were made and not all were for the better. They changed their really good crispy fries into something that tastes like they dusted them with lays barbecue chips. Their chicken tenders have also become lack luster and their menu matches that. us they have whole new staff that would rather talk at the end of the bar rather than bring drinks that were ordered 15 minutes ago.....and no one else is dining in.

Ok drinks with sub par food. Drinks can be good if the right bar tender is working but they are lacking standards. Food has been horrible lately. Expect for it to come out cold and greasy. The new owner seems not to be helping this place as it is declining. All the waitstaff that goes out to smoke instead of waiting on tables is off putting. Also the staff that works here comes here on their day off. They smell like weed and are always at the bar being loud and obnoxious. I have not been back, could be a good place if the owner cared.

We were totally blown off by the bartender when we asked to make a food order. He proceeded to ask the other people at the bar if they needed anything but refused to wait on us.

I have really never had a bad thing to say about Rivels..but tonight I was not impressed. As you know with Covid things have gotten a bit sideways and it showed tonight. Nothing was up to par, drinks were flat and the food which usually I can't stop raving about was so~so. And our service was horrible. We waited 40 mins just on our food. And add another 10 for drinks. I haven't EVER waited that long. The place would've been packed and we had quicker service. I really hope it things get back to some type of normal soon.
