California Wok - Costa Mesa

We had this for lunch. I had some kind of orange chicken. This must be some of the worse Chinese food I've ever tasted. It was terrible!!! The chicken didn't even taste like chickens. The white rice was dry. There was no taste at all. A salad consisted of only leaf salad and a small container soy sauce or something. NOT EAT THIS PLACE!!!! I wouldn't even give him a star. I would rate it as a fat ZERO!!!

This place used to be decent, but recently it quickly became downhill. Today I ordered chickens with pea pans and mushrooms. I have a small amount of tasteless meat, 5 small pea capsules, 5 or 6 button caps., all in tasteless broth, I am finished with this place!

My first order to UberEats because they are a? Buy one? Special on Hot and Spicy Orange Flavored Chicken. The chicken tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp for a whole day after it was reheated in a microwave in the morning. I had cartons that both were easier to chew and had more moisture than that. I would not recommend it for mobile order because you cannot trust the quality.

Definitely better than your average Chinese restaurant in California. Pretty standard menu with all the American favorites. The Mongolian beef had a good amount of meat in it and was flavorful

I often have orders from California Wok and have never been disappointed. Your food is so good, not heavy on Gravy, freshly made instead of sitting under a heat lamp. This is my way every time I want Chinese food.
