Le Palais de la découverte, formerly known as Le Costa Rica at the Art Promotion Centre in Cotonou, is a great place to stop by after shopping for woodwork, leatherwork, and masks. We arrived late at 8 pm, but the beer was cold and the food was delicious, though it took a while to be served. The restaurant serves African cuisine from Benin, Senegal, and other countries, making it a must-try if you have some time to spare. The building has recently been renovated with stylish decor and a pleasant ambiance, although it can feel a bit empty at night. It might be wise to visit during the day when the Art Centre is open as well.
