Bidra med feedbackA perfectly good brunch and lunch spot. eating was good, though a little average, good coffee and friendly staff.
The first impressions are great as the place looks beautiful with elegant interior decor. but once sitting (indoors) they can immediately see how dirty the floor is, there was food on the floor of the day before we arrived at the breakfast in the early morning. so it was not possible on the same day we had to wait about 10-15 minutes until someone took our order that was empty the place, something surprising. the food came before drinks. eating is expensive, but quality and quantity is good. very beautiful sausages. overall would probably not return.
I was here a few times and the food and service was always great. I recently had the mushrooms on toast, which was delicious and the portion size was very generous. iced coffee and the biscoff hot chocolate were also beautiful.
We stopped here for lunch, and the menu had a nice selection of things to do. my mushrooms on toast were delicious as my wads with karamalised banane. well presented and friendly and attentive service. the prices were with the local ie; expensive, but a beautiful...treat we sat in the covered sitting area on the back and it was a nice environment, not too cloged or noisy.
Been to jacks before, and always had a reasonable service, yesterday popped in for a takeaway slice of the gluten free cake, absolutely stunning cake but it was the last slice, and for some obscure reason the waitress saw fit to slice a chunk off...the single slice sat there, so I was unaware of the tiny bit I had in my takeaway box. I would certainly check in future. £3 for what seemed less than half a slice of cake! I've had it instore as sit down, and it's always been a fair slice! Very disappointed regular customer!
