Lebaneat - County Durham

My friends and I visited Lebaneat for a meal, but we were disappointed with the service. The waiter had difficulty understanding English, and we had to repeatedly explain our orders. The food we received was of average quality, and two out of the five orders were incorrect. The staff did not check on us during the meal or ask if we needed anything else. Despite pointing out the mistakes in our orders, they were not corrected. The expensive meal, coupled with the subpar service, left us with no desire to return to this restaurant.

I had a very disappointing experience at Lebaneat. The restaurant had been recommended to me by several friends, and I brought my family there expecting a good meal supporting a local business. While the food was very good, the service was terrible. Despite having booked a table, we had to wait 25 minutes to be seated, even though we arrived on time. Once seated, we were not given menus or cutlery. When our order arrived, my mother received the wrong meal. When we tried to address this with the wait staff, they seemed confused and unhelpful. My mother had ordered a wrap but was served shwarma instead. The waiter simply shrugged and walked away when we brought it up. We had to ask for cutlery after our food arrived. When it was time to pay, we were told they could not give us an itemized bill and were charged £100, which did not seem accurate. The manager was unresponsive when we tried to discuss this. Despite the good food and portion sizes, the poor service overshadowed our experience. The restaurant's atmosphere was chaotic and intimidating, with long wait times. A departing customer even warned us about this, but we decided to stay. I would not recommend dining in at this restaurant; take away would be a better option.

The restaurant is nice, the food is good but I have tried better Middle Eastern food elsewhere. For example, their bread could be baked better. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant.

This is one of our favourite restaurants ever. The food is out of this world with something for everyone and soooooo tasty. The atmosphere/ambience is relaxing, the deco is great and the staff are really helpful and friendly. We've been twice in the last ten days and will definitely be back.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for lunch. It's affordable, has excellent service, and serves delicious food. The only issue is that everything seems a bit too salty, possibly due to the red powder, maybe sumac. I personally enjoy it, but my husband found his chips to be too strongly flavored for his liking. I recommend reducing the amount of salt used and letting customers season their dishes to their own taste preferences.
