I would give five stars for the amazing service, but three or four for the taste. not the best restaurant in which I was, and the season is sometimes too generous. but still the price is reasonable and refresh, service is amazing, so recommend

The restaurant is located in a beautiful spot with views of the River Wear. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely. There may have been a small mistake, but overall it was a great experience.

Walked in without a booking and were able to be seated straight away, even though there was a few people in. We ordered a starter of olives and bread to share, then I had the Rib N Reef burger, my husband had rack of ribs, then I had sticky toffee pudding for dessert. All food arrived in a timely fashion and well presented and was very enjoyable. I really enjoyed the fries, as they were lovely and crispy without being greasy . The bill was cheaper than my husband had expected, so good value. You can tell it's a new place, with a new team, as some of the staff are a little less confident/more nervous than others, but everyone was friendly and polite, and it's just a matter of time of everyone getting familiar with the role and routines. The gentleman who showed us to our table said he would be our waiter, but we never were served by him again and were actually served by 3 or 4 members of staff, rather than one specific. We still left a tip, which apparently gets shared amongst the team, which was good to know with having been served by a few staff. The restaurant decor is pleasant and modern. We will definitely go back and look forward to seeing the team members having grown in confidence.

This restaurant is located in a beautiful location and has a great atmosphere. The owners and staff are very friendly, and there is a wide variety of delicious dishes to choose from on the menu. It is definitely worth a visit.
