The Prime Chophouse and Wine Bar

We went there to celebrate Mother's Day. None of us were thrilled with our orders - we didn't say anything as we left cause we didn't want to spoil Grama's day. The most disappointing of all were the veggies on my granddaughters plate - they were terrible in texture and look (not at all what you'd expect for a very pricey kids meal). They weren't very busy yet no one came to see how things were. By the time they did come we just asked for the kids menu dessert and the bill. Needless to say we won't be in a hurry to go back.

Nice location and beautiful building. I had a $30 steak that was not as good as the Keg. I don't think I'll be going back.

Very tasty food and the service was excellent. We got a complementary desert with 2 entrees as we were staying in a local B and B.

We went as group From the appetizers I picked the Sea Food Chowder Yow never had Chowder that bad .My wife chose Escargot Not enough garlic in it and had to use the bread that they brought earlier for dippingFor the Main I ordered the Prime Burger it was Dry as a board and you could not put a fork through the edge of the bun it was so dryThe Lady across from Me asked for some Salt and Pepper the server showed up with a Yard long Pepper grinder Put some on her Chicken Oscar never asked any one else at the table if they wanted any Had to ask again for the salt buy the time any one did come back with it the meal was over half done .My wife had Salt Spring Mussels they were ok but the Chipotle sauce was so Hot you could not eat it I like hot but i tried some and even i could not eat itI guess the chicken Oscar was ok and the steaks were ok But we will never be back and i am sure some of my guests will not return eitherI can see now why the place was almost empty with food and service like that its no wonder
