Bidra med feedbackService from waitress was horrible, not the least bit friendly! We had to ask for cutlery, more coffee. I realize with all protocols going on that this may have affected her mood. Not a kind word or a smile out of her. It was clearly annoying to her that she had to serve us. Attention management: Your staff is obviously over worked, one waitress on during breakfast rush is clearly not enough. HIRE more staff.
During the Covid era, ordering food has become the standard for many. However, this was our first experience ordering breakfast, as we had family visiting. Initially, we were a bit unsure about having breakfast delivered, so we decided to order a variety of items to ensure we had enough. Wimpy's truly impressed us! The food arrived at the perfect temperature, in generous portions, and it tasted incredible! We ordered for both kids and adults, and there were even leftovers. We’re spreading the word to encourage everyone to order breakfast—it certainly made our weekend special. Thank you, Wimpy's!
We took the family there last night, and it was a great experience. Two of us had so much food that we brought leftovers home for dinner tonight—that's how generous the portions are! I ordered the fish with a salad, and I would go back any time just for that.
I typically go there with my family for meals, but we ordered through Skip the Dishes as we knew the food was good but didn't want to go out for a change. To our surprise my husbands meal didn't come, so I called Wimpey's and the receptionist was surprised and admitted they missed it. She said they would send out another. I got a call from Skip about getting my money back for his meal to make up for the mistake. An hour passes and no meal is brought in so I call up Wimpey's and I'm told to reach out to Skip, that it's through them as Wimpey's has no delivery drivers. I contact Skip and the rep tells me Wimpey's isn't accepting the order as they're out of the meal he wanted, Hot Beef Dinner. I file a complaint and hear back from management the next day, they put money on my Skip account to cover the delivery charge for my next order. I asked if Wimpey's would be sending out the dinner on another date and I'm told to talk to Wimpey's about it. So I call Wimpey's and I'm told that Skip told them not to interact with the customer to avoid mix ups from happening, and if I want the meal I need to put it through Skip and that another order will not go out since I got the refund. So in the end my husband never got his dinner and all I got was both companies wanting me to call the other company instead, passing the buck. I didn't care about the refund money, all I wanted was a meal for my husband.
I've been on the lookout for a good breakfast spot in north Oshawa since my favorite place closed down last year. I decided to give the Wimpy location in north Oshawa a try, and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and attentive, and the menu had a decent variety of options. The food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. I definitely plan to return for breakfast, and I might even check out their lunch offerings in the future.
