If you remember the old fish and chip chain H. Salt then you will be familiar with this place. The menu is exactly the same with a few extra items. The food is exactly like H. Salt down to the shrimp rings and weird triangler cut of the fish. The only issue was with the cookery of the food. It was a little too oily and slightly overcooked. The place is still in pandemic lockdown mode. There a table separating the customer from the cashier and the use a box on a stick to collect payment and hand you your food. Finally, this place is cash only.
The breading at this restaurant is amazing. The owner should consider giving larger portions of sauce instead of small containers and then upselling the bigger containers for an additional charge of 75 cents. The portion size was decent, with 2 fish, 2 shrimp, fries, and 2 sauces costing around $18. However, the price was a bit higher compared to other places. Despite this, I would still give this place a 5-star rating for its delicious flavor. However, my rating has been lowered to 2 stars because there was a special offer where I could have gotten 3 more shrimp for $5 less, and the elderly man with glasses did not inform me about it. As a result, we ended up paying $5 more for significantly less food.
The food was decent, but the woman working at the counter was somewhat impatient and unfriendly.
Do you remember H Salt Esquire? Well, it's back! They still have the same delicious fish, fries, shrimp, zucchini, and mushrooms all fried in that familiar tasting oil. Now I can enjoy my fish and chips once a month just like I used to. Hooray! Food: 5/5
