Bidra med feedbackLiving in Mexico during the winter, we’re usually not too impressed by Canadian interpretations of Mexican food, but this time was different. The food was fantastic! The cozy atmosphere was filled with locals, and the presence of a beautiful dog added to the charm. The chef was warm and welcoming. Phil mentioned that he had spent a lot of time in Guadalajara, which likely explains why the food was so delicious! Keep up the great work, Phil!
We had traveled from Victoria for the day and hadn't eaten breakfast yet. As it approached 1:00 p.m., our hunger was growing. It was a Sunday in October, which meant it was somewhat off-season for the town, and many places were closed. That's when we stumbled upon Get Phil'd Up. The menu displayed on a blackboard by the front door caught our eye, particularly the eggs in a basket and the eggs on tacos with organic refried beans. Since we spend our winters in Mexico, we’re usually not too impressed with Canadian interpretations of Mexican cuisine—until today. The food was incredible! The porch-like atmosphere, filled with friendly locals, their adorable dog, and the head chef, made us feel right at home. Phil mentioned that he had spent significant time in Guadalajara, which explained why the food was so delicious! Cheers to your continued success, Phil!
