Really Small place, sorry for the food because is great food, but the waitress over there are terrible, they answer you really bad, the take the orders to late, and the waitress Fam like to answer “I just work here and I don’t make the rules “, so I don’t recommend this place.

I couldn't believe the way we were treated. My wife and I entered the restaurant at 5:00 pm and told them we would have six people. Four people were at the bar and we were the ONLY diners there; nobody was at any table. The hostess moved a small table next to a larger one so all six could sit together. The food is very good but the customer service is horrible. I live in the neighborhood so I try to give them another chance every few months but they never have a hostess therefore people congregate at the front door and you are not sure who should go next. I waited 20 minutes for someone, anyone to approach the crowd at the door and when customers who just pushed past to get to the front of the line, I knew it was time to leave. El Pavo has never disappointed in all the years they have been open. I’ve been going since their first week, so that is saying something. It’s a must-visit!

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place, but honestly it's probably one of my favorites. The food is fresh. My family is from Mexico in the Yucatan Peninsula (Merida) and this food reminds me of my family. It's different than most Mexican food you can get in Louisiana, Think more tropical, less desert.
