Il Gabbiano - Cranford

I have always enjoyed the food at this restaurant, having dined there at least once or twice a year since it opened. However, during my most recent visit, I was disappointed by the service, which was so poor that it detracted significantly from the overall dining experience. While I can’t fault the food—what I ordered, along with the rest of my party, was excellent—I expected better service, especially after spending $200 for a meal for six people. Instead, the staff seemed indifferent and inattentive, despite the fact that the restaurant was not very busy that week. It’s a shame, because I really appreciate the quality of the food, but I left feeling extremely frustrated. Unfortunately, due to the lack of proper service, I don’t think I’ll be returning.
