Bidra med feedbackDuring my visit to Creskill to see my sister at a nearby skilled nursing facility where the food was quite disappointing, Moo Moo's became my go-to restaurant. The fantastic team at Moo Moo's—Tony (the owner), Angelica (the bartender), and Giaocchino (the chef)—prepared delicious meals for my sister and me to enjoy. They even lent me silverware, which I made sure to return each night while I relaxed with a digestivo after a long day. I particularly loved the pear salad, spaghetti carbonara, linguine with clams, chicken parmigiana, and chocolate mousse. It was heartwarming to see my sister enjoy good food from Moo Moo's, and it was a pleasure to take my host from Tenafly out for a lovely dinner at the restaurant one evening. Bravo, Moo Moo's!
After that, we placed our orders for appetizers and entrées, enjoying the complimentary bread while we waited. The restaurant was busy, but there were enough servers around. When our appetizers arrived, we were surprised to see burrata on the table, which we hadn’t ordered, while our fried mozzarella was nowhere to be found. Additionally, we ordered what was described as the colossal crab, but it was quite disappointing; instead of being presented in a mound as advertised, it was spread out in tiny pieces on a large plate. To add to the confusion, a cup of ice appeared at our table that we hadn’t ordered. I had a simple bolognese pasta dish, and I was taken aback when it arrived smothered in a sauce reminiscent of vodka sauce. My friend ordered a vodka sauce pasta, which looked nothing like a vodka sauce at all. While the food tasted decent, it did not match what was promised on the menu. We decided to order dessert, which was just average. Overall, our meal totaled $600, including the tip, and I expected much higher quality food and service for that price. To top it all off, as we were leaving, I realized that the watermelon salad we ordered had never been served.
We arrived quite hungry, so we decided to sample a variety of dishes, and I can confidently say that I enjoyed every single one—no complaints whatsoever! It’s one of the easiest 5-star ratings I’ve ever given, as they checked off everything that makes a restaurant great. Let’s start with the atmosphere. The place is super clean, spacious, romantic, and dimly lit, which I love for an intimate dinner. The restaurant is divided into two sections: the front, which features a bar and lounge tables, and the main dining area that has a cozy fireplace, a wall of wine bottles, and numerous tables—again, quite romantic. On to the appetizers: the rice balls were AMAZING—some of the best I’ve ever had. They were incredibly cheesy and crispy. The burrata was exceptionally fresh, and the calamari was also top-notch. For dinner, we couldn’t resist trying the steak, and I was thoroughly impressed when it arrived on a sizzling hot plate. Our server presented it in a really unique way, and he also brought out our sides, which were mac and cheese and creamed spinach. I find that mac and cheese is often hard to get right, but this restaurant nailed it. It was super cheesy and wonderfully seasoned, which is not something you find everywhere. We also tried the penne vodka and chicken Parmesan, and I have to say, my Italian grandma would approve! The sauce on both dishes was phenomenal. You wouldn’t believe it, but after all that food, we still had room for dessert, which was just as incredible. We enjoyed our meal so much that we decided to spend some extra time at the bar, and I was blown away once again. I’m not a big drinker and usually find the taste of alcohol unappealing, but since everything else was so great, I was curious about the drinks. Wow! Tony really knows how to mix a drink. Everything I tried was SO smooth and genuinely enjoyable, which is quite rare for me. The amaretto sour, in particular, was the best I’ve ever had. This is probably the longest review I’ve ever written because this place truly deserves it. You absolutely have to check it out!
Best dining experience of 2023 so far. My client invited me to join him here for dinner and It exceeded every expectation I had. The second we arrived we were greeted by Nik who sat us down and told us some fun facts about the restaurant. Through the whole experience, he made sure we were taken care of and that our experience was perfect. Our waiter was Eko. He was incredible and attentive and even spoke to me in Ukrainian when I told him that was my heritage and I really appreciated that (he 's not Ukraine just very cultured). The food here is out of this world. The crackling hot plate steak, penne vodka, grilled octopus, burrata, rice balls, and calamari were all top notch. My favorite dish was their famous chicken parm. INSANE! We also had Mac and cheese and creamed spinach for our sides. I can honestly say that 9/10 places serve bland Mac and cheese but Moo Moos is the best I ever had. They did it right! We enjoyed our meal with an amazing bottle of wine (suggested by Nik) from their huge wine selection. We had such a wonderful dinner that we wanted to stay for drinks. Nik escorted us to the bar where we met Tony. Tony is a talented and wonderful bartender. Great conversationalist that didn 't overdo it. The drinks were strong, crafted in front of you, and very smooth. The bar/lounge area is a great vibe to just relax and enjoy a nice evening. This place is everything you want and more when you go out. Don 't let the word steakhouse on their sign fool you. They have soooooo many tasty options for anything you are in the mood for at very affordable prices. I can 't wait to bring my family here and try their 24k tableside steak!!
Had dinner with my date at Moo Moo last night. We ordered Pera salads, Steak Fries and Cream of Spinach as sides. We split a 24 oz NY Strip Steak which was cooked to perfection and was perfect for the 2 of us. Everything was delicious. The service by our server, Drin was excellent as was our interaction with the Manager, Nick. We finished our meal at the bar with terrific cocktails. Definitely recommend Moo Moo and hope to dine there again often.
