Applebee's - Crestview

Food was edible-I got a burger. The waiter had a nice personality, just wish he would've come around more. I don't know who their bartender was that night, but that was the WORST gin tonic I've ever had in my life!!! Ambiance was tolerable. Not a wide variety of music.

Had to kill a hour while waiting for parent to get out of a appointment at Docs across the way- thought this would be a good quick k spot for a snack n beer. The service was very very slow but perhaps they do not have enough help. We sat at a high top in the bar area and orders the combo appetizer- we did not even finish half. It just was not flavorful. Simple frozen food. The beer was fine. The bar was filled with what seems to be locals that got out of work and had no place else to grab a beer. I felt like I was on a a old cruise ship from the 70's. Just not enough happy energy here. Not my jam.

We dined there with 2 family members in their 90's on a Wednesday evening. Aging parents with hearing issues presents a special set of challenges. Our server, Emily, could not have been more helpful, patient, and compassionate during the entire course of our meal. From start to finish, she went above and beyond to make our meal very enjoyable. Food was ok, plenty of decent choices. Really enjoyed the bar; drinks were good (even for my picky beer drinker), music was great, and the many tv's were happily loaded with the CHIVE, MMA fights, and other sports. It was a great stop. Thanks.
