Bidra med feedbackEvery time we eat at this restaurant we get served excellent food. There are a lot of choices to choose from and everything we have ordered has been really good.
Not a score of 50 out of 50, but from a quick quiz of my friends after eating lunch, half thought Yen Linh met their expectations, while the other half were disappointed. From my own point of view, service was fast and pleasant, spring rolls standard, phò bland and Vietnamese coffee very good.Easily the most popular restaurant in the group of shops around here, worth a try if your looking to fill a hole and your local.
I have tried a lot of pho in Adelaide and for me Yen Linh has the best. Even though there is no tripe in the combination option (which makes it a lot better) anymore, it's still awesome. The soup is packed with flavour and less sweet than most places. The noodles are quite good and there is a good amount of meat.I have tried a few other dishes and they are ok, but the hero is definitely the pho.
A friend recommended Yen Linh as a place with one of the best phos he's ever had and being a big lover of Vietnamese cuisine, I had to give it a go. I had the dried beef and papaya salad as an appetiser which was really quite lovely and both of us had the pho ta - raw beef slices in pho. While the pho was really quite nice, there was just something a bit off about it that I couldn't place my finger on - don't get me wrong, it was quite tasty and the meat + veg + herbs were quite fresh, there was just that bit of oompf that was missing. I had the salted plum drink which was quite nice.Service was extremely quick and we had our food within 10mins of ordering and the staff were quite friendly. The decor isn't much to shout about and there isn't much of an ambience so as to speak. Prices were a teensy bit dear for the suburbs but it wasn't a rip off. What annoyed me a smidgen was that a 1.5% surcharge was added for credit card use.All in all, a pretty decent place for some Vietnamese food. You could do worse.
The food here is always good, the price is a bit dearer than some of the other Vietnamese rest around, but delicious versus price and size. The service is quick and friendly. You can be in and out in 1hr if its not too busy, on weekends, they are packed and you usually have to wait for a table.
